Dublin Airport is situated outside of Dublin city in Collinstown. The airport is 10 km for Dublin on the Northside. Arriving by road at Dublin Airport is fairly simple. Depending on where you are travelling from, you will probably pass onto the M50 motorway which is part of the major roadways of Ireland.

Car Hire

Dublin Airport car hire depots are situated on the airport grounds. Arriving by road at Dublin Airport you can follow signs for car rental areas. When arriving by road to Dublin Airport to return your rental car, all the rental car company’s depots are located in the Eastlands area right beside Dublin Airport. This area is clearly signposted for car rental returns. A shuttle bus will take you from car rental drop-off points to the terminal buildings.

The best postcode for Dublin Airport is K67KD58, this will bring you to Terminal 1. When arriving by road please follow car parking signs for short and long-term car parks, which are directly in front of the terminal building. You will have two options at Dublin Airport when parking in the short or long-term car park. There is a number of car parks at Dublin Airport.

Terminal 1 Car Park A (Short Term C)

This short-term car park is for short stays under 24 hours. Dublin Airport Terminal 1 car park A has 450 car parking spaces and is a short 2-minute walk from the terminal building. The height restrictions are 1.85 metres, this parking area is not suitable for some minivans and minibuses or commercial vans, make sure to check the height of your vehicle. Terminal 1 Car Park C (Short Term C)

This short-term car park is for short-term parking for less than 24 hours. There are 1500 car parking spaces in this parking area and it is situated next to Terminal 1. This parking area is a short 5-minute walk to Terminal 1 and around 7 minutes to Terminal 2. The height restrictions are 1.85 metres, please check the height of your vehicle before entering the parking area. The GPS Coordinates for the car park are 53.42891, -6.24254.

Terminal 2 Short-Term Car Park

This short-term car park in Terminals 2 multi-storey car park. It has 1800 car parking spaces. It is around a 5-minute walk to Terminal 2 and has the benefit of a covered in area that you can walk through protecting you from the weather. The height restriction in the car park is 2.1 metres. Please make sure to check the height of your vehicle before entering the parking area. The GPS coordinates for the car park are 53.42700, -6.23885.

Terminal 2 Surface Car Park

This short-term car park has 270 car parking spaces. It is a short walk from the terminal buildings, around 5 minutes. The GPS coordinates for this parking area are 53.428084, -6.240499.

Long-Term Car Parking Dublin Airport

Express Red

This is a long-term car park and has 8000 car parking spaces. This parking area is used for Terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. It is the closest car park to both terminals. It takes around 5 minutes for a transfer from the express red car park to the terminal buildings. This area has 24-hour security and excellent lighting. This area is not suitable for trucks or large buses. There are free shuttle bus services to the terminal from this car park.

Express Green – Holiday Blue Car Park

This parking area for cars is for long stays and has 800 car parking spaces. It is situated off the M50 motorway at exit 4, next to the main runway. The car park has a free shuttle bus service that takes around 10 minutes to the Terminal buildings. It is not suitable for trucks or large buses. There are 24-hour security services in the car parking area.

Arriving by Public Transport Coach

Arriving by road to Dublin Airport by coach your driver will drop you off at the bus stop right outside the terminal building. The bus stops are located in various zones that are all quite close together at Dublin Airport. Depending on the bus company you are travelling with, you can ask your driver what Zone they will be dropping you off at.

Arriving on a Private Coach

Arriving by road on a private coach your driver will follow your directions and depending on what country is your destination. Your driver will drop you off at the correct Terminal and unload your suitcases and point you in the correct direction into the terminal building.

Arriving by Taxi

Arriving at Dublin Airport by taxi, make sure to explain to your driver what country you are flying out to, your driver will then drop you off at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Dublin Airport guide recommends that you ask your driver to drop you off in set-down areas right outside Terminal buildings. Arriving by Limousine

Dublin Airport Guide recommends that you arrive at least 3 to 4 hours before your flight is taking off. Your limousine driver will drop you off at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 set-down areas. Luggage trolleys are located outside the terminal building. Your limousine driver will direct you into the terminal building if you are unsure, make sure to ask your driver for good directions.
